The VeinViewer is an invention that was hailed by Time magazine as one of the coolest inventions of 2004. The VeinViewer projects an enhanced green continuous image of subcutaneous veins onto the patient's skin. The Harmony laser is a new generation transdermal laser. It's light is more absorbed by blood then melanin. The heat damages the vein and the effectiveness can be seen by the VeinViewer image. Cold air is blown on the skin (thru the plastic transparent tip on the right) to numb the skin and improve confort to the patient. It is an allergic and embolism free sclerotherapy treatment. Filmed and edited by Wilson Langeani Filho at Clinica Miyake, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Kasuo Miyake, MD, PhD CRM 68778 is developing this new way to combine new technologies. The goal is to achieve good outcome with no risk to the patient.
