Erythromelalgia

   Aetiology: Persistent vasodilatation of skin area of unknown cause
   Cinical findings:
Painful, red hot areas apear in the skin of the extremities


The condition is exaggerated by warmth
Exposure to cold relieves the symptoms
   Treatment: Sympathectomy may give satisfactory results
Secondary Erythromelalgiza: may be seen in hypertension and polycythaemia vera
