LATERAL ABERRANT THYROID

Outside the thyroglossal tract. The term lateral aberrant thyroid was applied to thyroid tissue in the lateral side of the neck. Always regarded now as malignant metastasis from papillary carcinoma of the thyroid not felt clinically.
