CARCINOMA IN THE MALE BREAST mPredisposing Factors: 1- Gynaecomastia. 2- Diseases associated with excess oestrogen. mPresentation: · Palpable lump in most cases follows the same course as in females. · While it is expected that it is likely to be in late stages, because the breast is small in size, This is not neceassary and many patients presents in stage I. m Treatment: · Stage for stage the treatment is as for carcinoma of the female. · Bilateral orchidectomy is equivalent of oophorectomy, but a higher proportion of men respond than women. · Because the small size of the breast, adequate local excision frequently end a mastectomy.
