Keloid: Definition: Overgrowth of vascular connective tissue which later become fibrotic. Predisposing factors: It occurs on top of scar and invades the normal skin espicially in 1- Negros. 2-T.B. Patient. 3- During Pregnancy. Commonest site is over the sternum. * Early cases gives swelling as soft fibroma. * Late cases simulate desmoid tumour. Treatment: Surgical excision followed by irradiation to prevent recurrence which is frequent. Intralesional incision during excision reduce recurrence as the keloid tissue has no tendency for keloid formation. N.B.
